Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital seeks an outstanding academic leader to direct the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology.  An institutional commitment to resources will support a new Director who should possess a strong passion for innovative leadership and a proven track record for mentorship, patient care, education, and scholarly advancements in research. The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM) at the Associate Professor level or higher.  Applicants should be board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology and eligible for licensure in the State of Florida. 
Other highlights:
  • Lead the promotion of clinical, research and academic growth related to Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Improve faculty and staff engagement through attention to diversity recruitment, retention, career development, personal leadership development, and effective communication.
  • Key opportunities, but not limited to, development of a comprehensive Diabetic Program, development of a transgender clinic, expand and evaluate care delivery at multiple satellite and affiliate hospital locations, development of specialized clinics and/or multi-disciplinary clinics.
  • Ample existing lab space available. New Research and Education Building scheduled to open in August 2018.
  • Lead JHACH in becoming the preeminent location for Pediatric Endocrinology care in the state of Florida.
About Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital:
Children are the sole focus of JHACH and its new, one-million-square-foot St. Petersburg, FL campus devoted to pediatric specialty care. The 259-bed, ten-story hospital and its adjacent outpatient care center replaced an existing 42-year-old facility.  JHACH is a leader in pediatric treatment, education, research and advocacy.  It is the only specialty-licensed freestanding children’s hospital on Florida’s west coast, and one of three statewide.  As a regional referral center for children with some of the most challenging medical problems, JHACH draws patients from throughout Florida, all 50 states and 36 foreign countries. All Children’s Hospital became part of the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) and a fully integrated member of Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) on April 1, 2011. All Children’s is the first U.S. hospital outside of the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., region to become integrated with JHM, which includes the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System.  Additionally, after wokring with a consortium of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine faculty members, a new pediatric residency program was designed with the first class of trainees graduating from the program in July, 2017.
