The Department of Academics at Merritt Hawkins is honored to work with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) located in St. Petersburg, FL on a national search to identify senior pediatric oncologists as candidates for the Director of their leading Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute (CBDI). JHACH is a fully integrated member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, which includes Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System.
The CBDI is one of five Institutes at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. The other institutes are the Heart Institute, the Institute for Brain Protection Sciences, the Maternal-Fetal & Neonatal Institute, and the new Institute for Fundamental Biomedical Research. The Institutes are enhanced and supported by research, education, quality, safety, and patient advocacy. The Institutes’ organizational structure is matrix-based and led by the Institute Medical Director in collaboration with a Senior Director, Administration and a Senior Director of Nursing. Preferred Candidate:
- Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital seeks a Pediatric Oncologist that has shown through their career the ability to be an exceptional physician-scientists, and a leader with vision and drive that can create a world-class program at the CBDI.
- Current or past experience in high-level research in the field of pediatric oncology, and history of NIH funding
- Ability to mentor junior faculty and residents/fellows while fostering an environment of world-class research
The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine at the Associate Professor level or higher. As Director of the CBDI, you will lead a top-notch team that includes successful pediatric hematologists and oncologists, surgical oncologists, and successful basic science researchers. The overall goal will be to develop a truly academic pediatric oncology program, following the mission and vision of Johns Hopkins Medicine and JHACH. About Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital:
