Merritt Hawkins, the nation’s premier academic physician search firm, has partnered with a major academic center in the Pacific Northwest to invite you to consider a Division Head or Faculty Pediatric Gastroenterology opportunity. The Division Head position is for a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist who is currently at Associate Professor or Professor Level. The ideal candidate will have established leadership experience and a strong desire to promote the advancement of the Division in the areas of clinical care, scholarship and education. There are substantial clinical and academic opportunities awaiting both the new Division Head and Faculty member. The features of this opportunity include:

  • Responsibilities will include:  Leading, organizing, and directing the academic, research, and business affairs of the Division

  • Recognized as one of America’s leading Children’s Hospitals, Department excels in pediatric care, training, research, and community outreach
  • Full sub-specialty support with access to all pediatric sub-specialists
  • Opportunity to develop your own clinical/research interest niche that will be fully supported by the Department; Protected time to pursue scholarly activity interest
  • Participate in Medical Education teaching medical students and residents
  • Areas of sub-specialty currently present in the Division include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Aerodigestive Disease, Short Bowel Syndrome, Rural Health, and Telemedicine
  • Participate in the further development of scholarship within the Division promoting the advancement of the Division in the area of clinical research
