The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking applications for a full-time General Cardiologist. We are seeking candidates who are board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease, with additional certifications or training in Advanced Imaging (ECHO, Nuclear or PET). The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an academic medical center teaching medical students, residents and/or fellows, and will be eligible for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.
- Incoming faculty will join a newly established Consultative Cardiology team wholly focused on enhancing cardiology service offerings, both clinically and educationally, including developing non-traditional, face-to-face bricks and mortar approaches to patient care.
- The general cardiology clinical duties will include outpatient clinic, inpatient cardiology and cardiology consult service rotations. Clinic time may also be spent in imaging, echocardiography or other areas depending on need and interests.
- Educationally, there are opportunities to further develop the general cardiology curriculum, as well as impact relevant subspecialty fellowships being offered within KCVI, which includes: EP, Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant, Interventional Cardiology, and Advanced Imaging.
- Research opportunities are available, both clinical and basic science research through KCVI which offers 12 research centers and programs.
KCVI offers a full spectrum of cardiovascular services including prevention, EP, adult congenital heart care, structural heart disease and features robust basic, translational, and clinical research programs.
