Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), in partnership with Tuality Healthcare, is seeking applications for a full-time Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. We are seeking candidates with previous experience working with geriatric populations, along with experience working in an inpatient setting. The incoming provider will work in the newly opened Geriatric Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at Tuality Community Hospital. Tuality Healthcare, an OHSU partner since 2016, is a not-for-profit, independent, community-governed health care system. Tuality Community Hospital, located in Hillsboro, OR, minutes from downtown Portland, is a 167-bed state-of-the-art acute care services facility that staffs ~400 physicians and healthcare providers, and over 1,100 employees. This opportunity includes:
  • A robust support team in place including LCSWs onsite 12 hours per day, 365 days per year; OTs providing 10 hours of patient programming per day; full complement of nursing coordinators; a team of hospitalists who will cover all nights. All ancillary services are available onsite, including pharmacy and labs. Excellent subspecialty support available for medical consults.
  • The unit consists of 21 beds including 13 private rooms with the rest set for double occupancy and 3 rooms will be designed for higher acuity cases.
  • We are seeking candidates who would be interested in block scheduling, i.e. 7-on-7-off. We are also open to considering an 8a-5p schedule if blocks are not desired. No in-house call required.
  • Excellent benefits through OHSU including multiple retirement plans, life insurance, and vacation.

The successful psychiatric nurse practitioner will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working with geriatric populations, along with experience working in an inpatient setting.
