The University of Kansas School of Medicine is seeking an accomplished leader to join the Department of Anesthesiology as the Vice Chair of Perioperative Medicine. The University of Kansas Health System is actively pursuing innovative strategies to redesign healthcare delivery and achieve excellence in healthcare research and education. The Vice Chair of Perioperative Medicine will lead the design, development, and research of perioperative care processes, including but not limited to Enhanced Recovery After Surgery programs and Perioperative Surgical Home implementation, to support evidence-based multidisciplinary care for patients with a variety of surgical conditions and diseases.

The Vice Chair of Perioperative Medicine will have the opportunity to be an integral part of this important evolution for the entire academic health system. Applicants for this position should possess a medical degree from an accredited medical school, be board certified in Anesthesiology, have a minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency experience, preferably within an academic medical center, with a strong track record of scholarly activity, and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Kansas.
