The Ohio State University College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking exceptional academic clinician scholars with proven leadership skills for two inaugural positions. We are seeking Psychiatrists or Clinical Psychologists who are qualified or eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level and have strong faculty clinical, academic, and mentorship experience. 

The Program Directors’ responsibilities include ensuring exceptional and distinctive care for patients with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, and those with psychotic disorders, particularly schizophrenia. They will be tasked with building and sustaining innovative research, particularly extramural research from the NIH. Additionally, they will lead the mentoring and development of faculty with clinical or research interest in mood disorders and psychotic disorders while conducting the administrative operations of the program across all levels of care.

The Ohio State Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health has a long and respected tradition of excellence in clinical care, research, and education. The department is composed of five specialty divisions and boasts one of the largest, most diverse faculty in the region; the department has over 100 primary faculty. The department offers a leading-edge residency program, multiple fellowship programs, and a Psychology internship program.

Successful applicants for each Program Director position will be leaders in research, education, and patient care with a passion for mentoring junior faculty. They will report directly to the Chair of Psychiatry.
