The Marcus Institute for Integrative Health, Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine is seeking a Director of Integrative Health to lead a new clinical, educational, and research initiative in Integrative Health. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the practice model, establishing program relationships throughout the community, and building a new Integrative Health clinical practice fully supported by Institutional leadership and community providers.
Successful applicants will be board certified in an ABM or AOA clinical specialty with additional fellowship training and/or experience and expertise in integrative health clinical care modalities. The incoming leader will have outstanding clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, a proven record of program leadership and expansion with the capacity to advance strategic initiatives and achieve targeted goals through building and bridging partnerships, possess a strong interest in community outreach and education, with a commitment to excellence in clinical practice, teaching, community engagement, and service.
The College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University has received foundation funding in support of the development and launch of an innovative clinical and educational initiative. Additional funding is available upon the successful establishment of a robust Integrative Health clinical program. In addition to leading the development of a high-quality clinical practice with an emphasis on nutrition, mindfulness, and other integrative health approaches, this individual will participate in a variety of community outreach and educational initiatives targeting medical students, residents, and the community. The incoming Director will also oversee the development of program research priorities to further the evidence base in the field.
The incoming Director will participate in direct patient care focusing 100% on Integrative Medicine modalities and teaching activities, such as providing content expertise for courses or electives in Integrative Health. The responsibilities of the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health Director include: providing community outreach activities and training opportunities as needed in order to promote proactive, preventative, holistic care throughout the broader community, providing strategic leadership and vision for an inter-professional team to achieve excellence in clinical services, engaging in educational activities, overseeing research and scholarship within the program, budgetary development, and administration of the initiative, maximizing available resources for the integrative health practice.
